On aika huoltaa polkupyörä.
Parhaiten huoltotoimenpiteet onnistuvat työtätekevältä jaksottamalla eri huoltotehtäviä viikon useammalle päivälle. Näin voit työskennellä pyörän kanssa vaikka neljänä iltana viikossa, jokaisena kaksi tuntia. Tälläkin tavalla huolto tulee tehtyä nopeammin kuin viemällä pyörä odottamaan huoltoa ruuhkaiseen polkupyörähuoltamoon.
Pyörän perushuolto tulisi itse asiassa toteuttaa aina syksyllä ennen pyörän varastointia. Tällä tavalla pyörä säilyy puhtaana ja kestää pitempään. Jos pyörä on huollettu syksyllä riittää keväällä vain pyörän osien kevyt putsaaminen ja tarkistus.
