Lukupiirissä käydään kevään 2008 aikana läpi Yochai Benklerin kirja The Wealth of Networks: How Social Production Transforms Markets and Freedom". Kirjan voi ladata ilmaiseksi netistä pdf ym. muodossa.

Lukupiirin aikataulu ja muut järjestelyt ovat vielä suunnitteluasteella. Ajatus on, että kirja käydään läpi kuudessa osassa, joista keskustellaan Skypessä (tai jotenkin muuten, mahdollisesti kokeillaan eri välineitä). Keskustelun jälkeen jokainen osallistuja summaa itselleen merkityksellisimmän pointin tekstistä tähän wikiin.

Lukupiiriläisiä on tulossa mukaan Tutkimusparvi-verkkostosta. Parvi on avoin kenelle tahansa. Tervetuloa tutustumaan ja liittymään mukaan. Lukutapaamisten lopuksi halukkaat osallistujat keskustelevat lyhyesti luetun merkityksestä Tutkimusparvelle. Keskustelun tulokset kootaan parven wikiin.

Lukupiirin tavoitteena on käydä läpi Benklerin kirjan keskeisimmät ajatukset. Kokoamalla eritaustaisia osallistujia yhteen, kirjaan haetaan uusia näkökulmia. Keskustelut rytmittävät ja motivoivat osallistujien lukemista. Parven pitäminen luetun rinnalla casena auttaa syventämään ja operationalisoimaan luettua.
