저작권 불명인 자료[edit]

위키배움터를 둘러보니, 법학적성시험 준비과정 강좌에서 저작권 침해가 의심되는 자료들이 몇 있습니다. 그런데 주기여자께서 현재 접속을 하고 있지 않으므로, 빠르게 삭제해도 될 것 같습니다. -- Hwangjy9 (talk) 07:18, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

부탁 하나 해도 될까요?[edit]

안녕하세요? 항상 Sotiale님께 감사하고 있습니다. 그런데 오늘은 한 가지 부탁을 하고 싶네요.

위키배움터를 처음 와서 봤을 때, Sotiale님께서 많이 노력하셔서 수학 포탈의 토대가 세워진 것 같습니다. 그러므로 수학 수식을 입력할 때 TeX 환경이 지원되는 것은 아실 것이라고 생각합니다. 그런데 Sotiale님께서 mathrm 명령어를 많이 쓰시는데, 이 명령어는 수식을 ~~굵게 해주죠~~로마체로 바꾸어 주죠. $bbb$ 와 $\mathrm {bbb}$ 은 그 차이가 확연합니다. 하지만 제가 보기에는 Sotiale님께서 이 명령어를 너무 많이 쓰시는 것이 아닌가 싶어요. 예를 들어 $=(=)=$ (명령어를 쓰지 않음)와 $\mathrm {=(=)=}$ (명령어를 사용)의 차이는? 없죠. 괜히 바이트 수만 늘릴 것 같아서, 수학 문서에서 mathrm 명령어는 가능하면 모두 지우고 있습니다.

위키배움터 임시정책[edit]

두 가지 물어볼 것이 있는데요,

지금 아직 번역이 다 되지 않았는데 위키배움터를 위해 꼭 필요한 정책들이 있나요? 부족한 실력으로나마 도움이 되고 싶네요.
위키백과를 보면 줄임말(예를 들면, 백:삭)을 사용하는데, 위키배움터에도 그러한 넘겨주기가 있으면 좋을 것 같아요.

단축과 같은 경우는 정식으로 설립이 되면 차차 하려고 합니다. 여기서는 common.css 문제도 있고, 나중에 import로 다 옮기고나면 넘겨주기 문서는 다시 만들거나 다른 처리가 필요한 번거로운 경우가 발생할 수 있어서요. 그리고 정책이야 기본적인 정책들({{위키배움터}})은 대부분 수입해오거나 만들어 놓은지라.. 편집 방법에 대한건 만드려고 해도 논의가 다소 필요해 보이고, 또 복잡해서 그대로 두고 있어요. 정책이나 지침은 따로 힘 안쓰셔도 될 것 같아요. 혹 필요한데 없다고 생각하시는 정책이나 지침은 언제든지 가져오셔도 됩니다 :) --Sotiale (talk) 07:54, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Revert warring on Template:Delete[edit]

Sotiale, I would not normally request an individual custodian look at this matter, but I posted a request for custodian action,[3] and it has no response. I also requested comment on the issue at Babel ([4]), and there has been no response. TeleComNasSprVen (talk) is claiming that your personal inaction on the RCA request represents a rejection (Diff). Hence I am coming to you.

This user is attempting to change the deletion template ((history)] so that a speedy deletion request cannot be removed by anyone but a custodian. In the revert war that I first took to Wikiversity:Request custodian action/En, he insisted that only a custodian could remove the template. I knew that a custodian had already looked at and had edited the page, so it wasn't nonsense. I knew that the "reason" he gave for deletion was not legitimate. (The user was charged with being a cross-wiki vandal, by TeleCom, in a meta lock request, which was not granted. Someone who is disruptive on one wiki -- or many -- might do something acceptable here.) So I removed the tag, and he revert warred over that, demanding that a custodian remove it.

Everywhere I've seen speedy deletion tags used, any user may remove them. They are for uncontested deletion.

Administrators have no special authority to decide deletion, it is a community matter, if there is disagreement. It's obvious that if a regular user removes the tag, there is disagreement. The standing language of the tag points out that, then, the file may be taken to RCA for discussion.

TeleCom is claimng that David.crochet's warning to him and I, and that Beta has not "prevented him," allows him to continue (Diff).

This user has shown here, as well as elsewhere, that he will revert war on what he wants, often with no discussion, until a third party intervenes. On en.wikiversity, he was warned by a custodian, and he rejected the warning.[5] A few days ago, after an RCA report,[6] he was finally indef blocked, and was only unblocked on assurances he wouldn't revert war, but would take disagreements to custodians.[7] He is not here to improve Wikiversity, he doesn't care about Wikiversity. His declared goal is at [8]. His contribution history here is almost entirely combative. (Contributions)

Please look at this as soon as possible. Because the deletion template is in common use, including by stewards, it is important that it not be mangled to create confusion. The principle that deletion decisions, when controversial, are community decisions, not individual ones, is important. An important message about renaming users[edit]

Dear Sotiale,

I am cross-posting this message to many places to make sure everyone who is a Wikimedia Foundation project bureaucrat receives a copy. If you are a bureaucrat on more than one wiki, you will receive this message on each wiki where you are a bureaucrat.

As you may have seen, work to perform the Wikimedia cluster-wide single-user login finalisation (SUL finalisation) is taking place. This may potentially effect your work as a local bureaucrat, so please read this message carefully.

Why is this happening? As currently stated at the global rename policy, a global account is a name linked to a single user across all Wikimedia wikis, with local accounts unified into a global collection. Previously, the only way to rename a unified user was to individually rename every local account. This was an extremely difficult and time-consuming task, both for stewards and for the users who had to initiate discussions with local bureaucrats (who perform local renames to date) on every wiki with available bureaucrats. The process took a very long time, since it's difficult to coordinate crosswiki renames among the projects and bureaucrats involved in individual projects.

The SUL finalisation will be taking place in stages, and one of the first stages will be to turn off Special:RenameUser locally. This needs to be done as soon as possible, on advice and input from Stewards and engineers for the project, so that no more accounts that are unified globally are broken by a local rename to usurp the global account name. Once this is done, the process of global name unification can begin. The date that has been chosen to turn off local renaming and shift over to entirely global renaming is 15 September 2014, or three weeks time from now. In place of local renames is a new tool, hosted on Meta, that allows for global renames on all wikis where the name is not registered will be deployed.

Your help is greatly needed during this process and going forward in the future if, as a bureaucrat, renaming users is something that you do or have an interest in participating in. The Wikimedia Stewards have set up, and are in charge of, a new community usergroup on Meta in order to share knowledge and work together on renaming accounts globally, called Global renamers. Stewards are in the process of creating documentation to help global renamers to get used to and learn more about global accounts and tools and Meta in general as well as the application format. As transparency is a valuable thing in our movement, the Stewards would like to have at least a brief public application period. If you are an experienced renamer as a local bureaucrat, the process of becoming a part of this group could take as little as 24 hours to complete. You, as a bureaucrat, should be able to apply for the global renamer right on Meta by the requests for global permissions page on 1 September, a week from now.

In the meantime please update your local page where users request renames to reflect this move to global renaming, and if there is a rename request and the user has edited more than one wiki with the name, please send them to the request page for a global rename.

Stewards greatly appreciate the trust local communities have in you and want to make this transition as easy as possible so that the two groups can start working together to ensure everyone has a unique login identity across Wikimedia projects. Completing this project will allow for long-desired universal tools like a global watchlist, global notifications and many, many more features to make work easier.
