En högre utbildningsinstitution: Wikiversitetet kommer inte att begränsa sig till endast universitetskurser utan siktar på att ha material för alla åldersgrupper. Det är ett universitet i den mening att det är en plats där lärare, studenter och forskare ("universitas magistrorum et scholarium"[1]) hänger sig åt ett livslångt lärande.
