My full name is Brian Salter-Duke, although I was earlier called just Brian Duke, and it is with that name that I publish in scientific journals. I was born in Sheffield, England. I am a retired academic now living in Melbourne, Australia. I am still active in research in the fields of computational chemistry, theoretical chemistry and quantum chemistry. I am an Honorary Research Associate at the Victorian College of Pharmacy, Monash University and an author of the modern valence bond program, VB2000.

I have been an active editor on the English Wikipedia since the end of October, 2005. I was an administrator there from August 2007 to October 2020. I am rather less active than I used to be.

I contribute to the Wikiversity in a small way in the School of Chemistry in Computational Chemistry. Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page.
