[edit] Welcome
Thank you for registering, and Welcome to Wikiversity!
- Wikiversity beta is a hub for general multilingual discussions of Wikiversity policies and other issues. It is also an incubator for new Wikiversity projects in various languages.
- Babel is our multilingual forum for general discussions and announcements.
- If you are new to Wiki, here is the bare minimum for editing in wiki.
- If you are running a course with Wikiversity, consider creating a participant list like Narrative_ecologies/Participants. As your material grows, you may want to elect a custodian to help maintain the pages for the group.

- Thanks. I will add the participant lists to my courses when they start. The custodian is a good idea too.

- Flag added. Thanks and sorry to be late. Best, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 15:32, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] image uploaded
Please, upload image in Wikimedia Commons instead of here. It make easier the work to transfert file when et.wikiversity will be open and allow all other wiki (and not only betawikiversity) to use your file. Thanks in advance .Crochet.david 13:34, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice, I will do it.

[edit] about some pages
- Ethics and Law in New Media: Netiquette guide
- Ethics and Law in New Media: Reading list
- Haridustehnoloogia ja erivajadustega inimesed: Miks Wikiversity
- Haridustehnoloogia ja erivajadustega inimesed: Netikett
- Haridustehnoloogia ja erivajadustega inimesed: Osalejad
- Haridustehnoloogia ja erivajadustega inimesed: Õpijuhis
- Sissejuhatus teemasse: erivajadused läbi aegade
- Sotsiaalne tarkvara ja võrgukogukonnad: Lugemismaterjal
This page, where you mainly work, was not link from an another. So nobody can reach this page. What would you like to do with ? Crochet.david 06:16, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, now I don't understand. These pages are from my three courses and all of them are linked from their respective course pages (Ethics and Law in New Media, Haridustehnoloogia ja erivajadustega inimesed, Sotsiaalne tarkvara ja võrgukogukonnad - see the main page for Estonian courses at http://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wiki%C3%BClikooli_koolituspakkumised , three last ones). The pages also contain the back links to the main course page.
- The only exception is the second one from the bottom (erivajadused läbi aegade), which somehow seems to be an orphaned version of an existing page. If possible, please delete it.

[edit] Good work!
I like the work you are doing incorporating traditional University-work with the Wikiversity-idea. To bad I don't have the time to really participate in your course, but I will keep an eye on it and read the material when I got some spare time. - Kaj 17:04, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! :) I'm not the only one though - Wikiversity was probably pioneered in Estonian academic circles by Hans Põldoja. I picked the initial idea up from him. KaidoKikkas 17:50, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Looking for research partnership
Right now, my first Wikiversity courses (mixing the University and Wikiversity as noted by Kaj above) seem to be running quite well - actual participant numbers have significantly exceeded the planned ones. I am considering writing a research paper about my experiences. Maybe someone with his/her own ideas is interested to team up - an option could be to do some kind of comparative analysis. [edit] copyleft licences for your image files
Hello! Thank you for your contributions in creating educational resources in Wikiversity. As we care a lot about copyrights, we can only accept images or media files licenced under GFDL or CC-BY-SA (or the unconditional "Public Domain"). (see, e.g. [1]). Please add in appropriate declarations to the files, e.g. edit the description page saying "I, the author, hereby publish the file under GFDL / CC-BY-SA" should be enough. If you are too lazy, you may at least make a blanket declaration on your user page, then someone with a robot can add the tags for you. Regards, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 12:34, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry for late reply - have been away for an extended period. I will add the blanket declaration - not about laziness but more due to the course that used pictures has meanwhile moved under control of another person. KaidoKikkas 08:29, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Declaration of licensing for image files
Hereby I declare that all visual material (images, screenshots) uploaded by me to Wikimedia Commons are published under the GNU FDL / CC Attribution-ShareAlike dual license.
KaidoKikkas 08:29, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- You can do it by adding {{self|GFDL|Cc-by-sa-2.5}} in your file.Crochet.david 08:37, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
[edit] custodian
Hi, Kaido. Would you like to help out on wikiversity as a custodian and help maintain the pages in your course as well as in your language, and also keep the house tidy? Regards, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 14:36, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry... I'd love to, but unfortunately I'm already drowning in different tasks - and I wouldn't like to do lousy work. Maybe when more peaceful times arrive, then it could be possible. KaidoKikkas 10:46, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's ok. But if you ever need the tools for maintaining your courses, please feel free to say so. Best, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 14:28, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
